Getting to Know Me

Posted by Fire On Your Head on September 21, 2005

By way of Pilgrim’s Scribblings

Some things you likely didn’t know about me and, after you read the list, might wish you still didn’t know…

5 things I hope to do before I die:

1) fulfill the purpose of God for my life in this generation; and change a nation through prayer and discipleship
2) see the demon of Allah dethroned for good
3) learn another language or a few languages (besides Dutch)
4) lay hands on a person to be raised from the dead; lay hands on people to grow limbs back; lay hands on people to be dramatically healed of things I/we only imagine–by faith
5) see the whole body of Christ living in that kind of power and authority

5 things I can do:

1) write and teach from the Bible effectively
2) read at a fast pace and still retain what I’m reading
3) be flexible and spontaneous
4) live in other countries and cultures
5) budget my money wisely

5 things I cannot do:

1) play the accordion
2) pass a book store without going in (which is getting easier in Holland though since I can’t read almost anything that will be inside that bookstore!)
3) live above a Christian bookstore—as I currently do in the Netherlands—without going downstairs and seeing what they’ve got at least once a week
4) spend time in the presence of God or reading His Word and not be changed by it
5) grow hair on the top of my head

5 things that attract me to the opposite sex:

1) humor
2) godliness
3) looks (don’t pretend that that’s shallow and that YOU don’t look for looks!)
4) godly maturity
5) vision and goals

5 things I say most often:

1) “What be the haps?”
2) “Je bent betrapt!”
3) “Sprayk je Engels? Mein Nederlands is niet zo goed.”
4) “Sha-tah!” (you have to be around me when I do something dumb to know that one!)
5) (is there anything else I say a lot?)

5 most important books you’ve read:

1) The Bible by God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
2) The Walk of the Spirit– the Walk of Power by Dave Roberson
3) Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill
4) Apostolic Foundations by Art Katz
5) Healing the Sick by T.L. Osborn

How about other bloggers? Want to take a stab at this? Come on…copy this to your blog and do it just for fun! It’s a great way for peeps to get to know one another.
